Tonight's homework problem is:
Kelly was baking and could only find her 1/8 measuring cup. She needs 1/4 cup of sugar, 3/4 cup of flour, and 1/2 cup of oil. How many 1/8 cups will she need of each ingredient.
If students are stuck, remind them that they need to find equivalent fractions in eighths.
Also, don't forget that students should be working to answer the Reader Response question on their Reading Blog. The question is:
What is your favorite book? Explain why that book is your favorite.
Students should have 4-5 complete sentences.
