Update 10/1/2015

Parents,

The students have a test on partial product multiplication and division by breaking it apart into hundreds, tens, and ones tomorrow. The student's homework tonight is perfect practice for the test. The following is tonight's homework:
Mark had a graduation party. He bought 15 12-packs of soda. How many soda cans is that? (They need to use the box method as illustrated below.)
Amy collected 184 stuffed animals. She has decided to give them away equally to 4 different charities. How many stuffed animals will each charity get? (They need to use the division strategy of dividing the hundreds into four groups, then divide the tens into four groups, and finally the ones into four groups illustrated in the video below.)
They should also continue to read every night for at least 20 minutes.
