Hi Parents!
Tonight's homework is a short worksheet that students should have stapled in their journals. The problems on this sheet are practice for the introductory concept we began today, and we realize that students may struggle--that's okay! We will be doing more practice as the week goes on, so if your child struggles tonight, just sign off on the sheet that he/she gave it a good effort, and we'll help him/her tomorrow.
Also, students should be beginning a new Reader Response blog entry. The prompt this week is:
What is one problem in your story? How was it solved? If it hasn't yet been solved, make a prediction about how you think it will work out.
Please help your child proofread his/her entry. All entries should consist of at least 4-5 good sentences, should completely answer the question, and should include correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
Also, if you haven't yet seen the permission slips for our upcoming field trip to Tryon Palace, please ask your child. We still have room for 3 chaperones from each homeroom. If you need more information, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Have a wonderful evening!
