Hi Parents,

Here's tonight's homework in math:

There are 3,000,000 third graders in the United States, 300,000 third graders in CA, and 30,000 third graders in RI, and 3,000 third graders in Jacksonville.

Compare (tell how many times greater the amount):

1.  Jacksonville to the U.S.
2.  CA to RI
3. U.S. to RI.  For this problem, use words to explain your thinking.

In Reading, please remind your student that blog entries are due tomorrow.  These should consist of at least 3-5 complete sentences, fully answering the question.

Also, if you haven't yet returned your field trip permission slip and money, please do so ASAP.  At this point, Mrs. Thompson's class has reached our quota for chaperones.  Mr. Utter's homeroom still has a few spaces available.  If you have any questions, please let us know!
