Update 11/23

Hello Parents!

Tonight's homework is a two-sided problem set which focuses on helping students develop an understanding of how different place values relate to one another.  For example, students should understand that  one "hundred" unit is ten times as many as one "ten" unit.  We completed an almost identical problem set in class, and students were encouraged to bring that worksheet home to help them complete their homework.

Due to the short week, we will not have a blog entry due this week.  If, however, your student hasn't yet completed all of the previous 3 graded entries, now would be a great time to catch up.  We're always willing to accept late work!

Finally, a few announcements:

We are experiencing a classroom shortage of pencils, and many students are coming to school without them. Please check in with your child to see if he/she needs to replenish his/her supply.  If you're willing to donate a package or two to the class, that would be greatly appreciated!

Don't forget field trip permission slips and money are due by 12/2.  At the moment, all chaperone slots are filled.  Thanks to those of you who volunteered!!

Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions!
