Daily Update 4/8

Hi Parents and Families,

We hope you had a wonderful spring break!  Due to the shortened week, students will not have Language Arts homework this week.  There is no math homework for tonight, but be on the lookout for a math assignment tomorrow night :-)

We do have a few upcoming events for you to be aware of:

  • Next week is STEAM week.  Students will participate in a different extended STEAM activity each day next week.  Be sure to ask your child about what he/she learned each day!
  • We are beginning a new "Famous American" project.  Over the next few days, your child should choose a person to focus on who has made an important contribution to American culture or history.  We have begun discussing a list of possible topics in class, but please feel free to help your child research and choose at home, too.  We look forward to inviting you to our class to see our presentations in June!
  • Friday, 4/10 is our 3rd Quarter Awards Ceremony.  If your child is receiving an award, he/she will be bringing home an invitation today.
  • Family curriculum night is 4/22.  We hope you see you!

Have a wonderful evening, and please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
